The Kogi State Head of Service, Dr Elijah Evinemi, has felicitated with Christians on the occasion of the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

Dr. Evinemi, in a statement made available to newsmen in Lokoja, urged Christians to use the occasion to reflect on the teachings of Jesus Christ.

“Merry Christmas to all civil servants and the good people of Kogi State. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, let us remember the values of love, kindness, and generosity that this season embodies.

“As we relax and recharge with our loved ones, let us not forget the less privileged among us. Let us spread love, joy, and kindness to those around us.

“I wish you all a peaceful, joyful, and blessed Christmas celebration, he added.

The Head of Service also commended the State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo, for prioritizing staff welfare, stressing that the prompt payment of December salary allowed the civil servants to plan for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

He pledged the resolve of workers to reciprocate the governor’s gestures by working hard to ensure the success of the government’s programmes and policies.
