Yesterday, Lagos State Police Command arrested and paraded a 21-year-old undergraduate student of Mass Communication of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, for supposedly murdering the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Usifo Ataga in Lagos.
Hakeem Odumosu had earlier told a group of journalists that the prime suspect named Chidinma Adaora Ojukwu was trailed and arrested at her parents’ residence in Yaba having escaped from hotel apartment on June 15.
Disclosing how the suspect was found, Odumosu said the suspect was caught with a blood soaked cloth apparently used to commit the crime on the day of the incident and admitted to stabbing the decease with a kitchen knife.
According to the https://www.facebook.com/punchnewspaper/videos/757678734902568/, she said that she and the deceased were enjoying life, taking drugs, drinking alcoholic drinks and having fun together before an argument broke out between them. She said that the deceased wanted to have carnal knowledge of her for the second time on the day of the incident which she opposed to.
She added that the deceased hit her in an attempt to go down with her again and that she was left with no option than to act in self-defense. She said she only stabbed him twice.
She also confessed that she took the knife away after she murdered Usifo and threw it into a trash can at her residence and made away with the deceased iPhone.
Asked what she told her parents before she left home to commit the crime, she said she told her parents she was going for an ushering job and that she used to freelance in that particular business. But this wasn’t what happened as she was away with her Sugar Daddy; having fun. But unfortunately for her, it ended in tears.
On how she met with the late Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, she said was introduced to him by her friends.
She also said the late CEO was the one who ordered for the drug they took. When asked about ₦10million found in her account, she denied having such a huge amount of money. She also debunked news making rounds that she withdrew ₦5million from her account, but only withdrew ₦380,000.
Questioned further about what she wanted to do with the money, she said she wanted to pay her school fee with the money she withdrew.
Speaking on how she escaped, she said “while he[Usifo] was lying down there, I looked for where he hid the key and left after I found it.”
