According to Naija News, controversial Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi have been arrested by the Department of State Security (DSS).
It was gathered that the cleric was invited for questioning following his controversial statement about the Nigerian Army.
Recall that Gumi accused Army officers of providing weapons and ammunitions to bandits.
Imams Warn Against Provocative Preaching In Mosques
According to Daily Post, the Committee of the Federal Capital Territory, Imams Initiatives (CFTII), has warned Imams against provocative preaching in the mosques.
In a communique issued by the CFTII, Islamic Clerics are cautioned to avoid preaching anything that will be inimical to the peaceful coexistence in the country.
Adding that mosque podiums will not be used to create division, confusion, promoting partisanship and raining abuses.
