Today, I join family, friends, and well-wishers across the globe to celebrate an extraordinary leader, a selfless community builder, and a man whose life continues to inspire many of us — Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), the State Security Adviser to Kogi State Government.
To me, sir, you are more than a boss. You are a father who leads with wisdom, a mentor who teaches by example, and a leader who puts people first. Your years of service, first in uniform and now in community service, have shown that true leadership is about sacrifice, vision, and impact.
*A Life Dedicated to Service*
Commander Omodara’s commitment to Oke-Offin community, Bunuland, Kabba/Bunu, and Kogi State at large is visible for all to see. From peace-building efforts to philanthropic support, you have consistently invested your time, resources, and energy in making our communities better.
You have championed unity at a time when division is easy. You have supported youths, encouraged women, and stood by the elderly. Your door has remained open to anyone in need of counsel, support, or direction. That is the mark of a true father and leader.
*Leadership with Integrity*
What stands you out, sir, is your dedication to doing the right thing even when no one is watching. You have taught us that leadership is not about titles, but about responsibility. Through your guidance, many of us have learned the values of hard work, humility, honesty, and service to humanity.
As a boss, you demand excellence. As a father, you correct with love. As a mentor, you open doors and push us to be better versions of ourselves. The lives you have touched — directly and indirectly — are too numerous to count.
*A Prayer on Your Special Day*
On the occasion of your birthday, I pray that God continues to bless you with long life in good health, renewed strength, and greater wisdom. May your years ahead be filled with more fulfillment, joy, and impact. May your good works continue to speak for you, and may the seeds of kindness you have sown continue to yield bountiful harvests for generations to come.
Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), you have shaped a better future for Kogi State, and your legacy of peace, development, and philanthropy will remain a reference point for years to come.
Happy Birthday, sir.
Thank you for being our boss, our father, and our mentor.
