The leadership of IJUMU ELDERS FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE rose from her maiden emergency Press Conference to speak on behalf of the good people of Ijumu Local Government Council, to vehemently denied the unsubstantiated and FAKE allegations of corruption against the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government, Alhaji Haruna Ibrahim circulating online and in certain media outlets.

According to a statement made available to our reporter by the Publicity Secretary of the organization, Deacon Sunday Ipinyomi, the group make bold to say that these publications are not only false, malicious, and a deliberate attempt to tarnish the hard earned reputation of the Council Chairman, but also
a baseless claims aimed at discrediting the entire leadership of the council and undermine the ongoing significant progress being made in the area of fighting insecurity in the local government.

Without mincing words, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna is running the affairs of Ijumu Local Government Council with the highest ethical standards, and we stand by the transparent level of integrity he has brought to bear in the course of discharging his responsibilities.

We urge the public and media to disregard these falsehoods and rely on verified information from official sources.

We are exploring all available legal remedies to address these libelous and FAKE accusations with a view to making the individual behind it a scapegoat.

Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna, as the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Council is the best thing that has ever happened to the progress and development of our local government.

Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna is fully committed to the re-election project of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo come 2027 and there’s no amount of conspiracies and gang up that will deterred him from achieving this task.
