Musa Tanimu Nasidi has expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah and to all individuals and organisations that stood by him following the fire outbreak that affected his residence on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

Nasidi stated that the incident, which was caused by a sudden high-voltage surge, resulted in the destruction of valuable household items and properties.

He, however, thanked Allah that no life was lost in the unfortunate incident.
“I give all praise to Almighty Allah for His mercy and protection, particularly for sparing lives despite the magnitude of the fire outbreak,” he said.

He specially appreciated the support and concern shown by His Royal Highness, the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi IV; Members of Lokoja traditional title holders council; the Distinguished Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Sunday Steven Karimi; Speaker Kogi state House of Assembly Rt.Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf; the Honourable Member representing Lokoja–Kogi Federal Constituency, Hon. Danladi Sulaiman Aguye; His Excellency, Alhaji Sulaiman Baba Ali; and Retired Parm. Secretary ministry of Information& communication Hon. Ebenezer Adodurija.

Others acknowledged include: the Kogi State Commissioner for Information & communication: Hon. Kingsley Fanwo; the Honourable Commissioner for Water Resources, Engineer Muhammad Danladi Farouk Yahaya; the Executive Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Council, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu; APC Chairman, Hon. Maikudi Bature; Alhaji Ibrahim Baba Buhari; Alhaji Hassan Musa; members of the Danko Development Forum (DDF), members of Lokoja Consultative Forum (LCF), members of Lokoja Forum of Patriots (LFP): Members of Lokoja international market Association as well as others too numerous to mention.

Nasidi also expressed appreciation to the Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and his colleagues in the media profession for their solidarity, prayers and show of brotherhood during the difficult period.

He further thanked his neighbours, friends, family members and well-wishers who stood by him physically, as well as those who reached out through phone calls, messages and other means to express sympathy and support.

He commended members of his community who promptly responded to the incident and assisted in containing the situation.

“As I come to terms with this loss, I remain grateful to Allah and optimistic for a better tomorrow. May Allah reward everyone who stood by me and protect us all from similar occurrences,” he added.
