The Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Dr. Mrs Ayoade Folashade Arike has disclosed that Governor Ahmed Ododo releases the sum of N50 million every month for the payment of gratuity of Local Government pensioners .
She added that this monthly allocation has given room for Local Government pensioners to receive the sum of at least N100,000, or N200,000 and at most N500,000from their gratuity.
Dr Mrs Folahade Ayoade disclosed this on Sunday during a good will message at the thanksgiving program held in honour of the former Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Mathew Kolawole at Christ Apostolic Church Oke Igbala , Kabba.
She said that Gov Ododo has also added N10,000 each to pensioners’ pension every month.
The SGS who is popularly known as Mama Cabinet added that in a similar vein the Governor has continued to release the sum of N100,000 million monthly for the payment of state pensioners’ gratuity despite the fact that their pensions are being paid monthly and as at when due.
Arike praised God on behalf of the the celebrant on attaining age 60, just as she reminded the congregants that each birthday celebration brings the celebrant closer to his grave.
She also stated that the world is a stage where every mortal is an actor but must strive to perform well.
