Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has ordered security agencies to launch an immediate manhunt for the killers of Mr. Durowaye Folusho, who was murdered on Friday morning at Ayetoro Kiri in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of the state.
The Governor, in a swift response to the incident, also directed a thorough and expedited investigation to ensure that the perpetrators of the heinous crime are apprehended and brought to justice without delay.
To forestall further violence, the State Security Adviser has been tasked with beefing up security in Ayetoro Kiri and neighboring communities, aimed at safeguarding residents and preventing any recurrence.
In a statement signed by Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, in Lokoja on Friday, the government condemned the killing in the strongest terms, describing it as senseless and tragic.
While extending condolences to the bereaved family, the people of Ayetoro Kiri, and the entire Kabba/Bunu area, the government reaffirmed that the safety of citizens remains a top priority.
Fanwo urged members of the public to remain calm, cooperate with security operatives, and provide credible information that could aid in tracking down the suspects and averting similar incidents.
The Commissioner assured of the state government’s unwavering commitment to peace, security, and the rule of law across the state.
