His words, “So, what that means is that we don’t run the facilities, we don’t own the facilities, you do. We have done a number of things together over the last year and a little bit and we will do a lot more.
“At the beginning of the year, we planned to do 196 primary health care centers for revitalization some by federal government, most of it you know by the state, a few by partners that we have gently convinced but the governor has even surpassed that in his target and he’s doing a lot more than that.
“Today as has already been mentioned we are also going to be handing over a stock of primary health care equipment that will go to a few of the facilities 24 or so to start with and then we are going to be deploying more. We have worked with his Excellency to provide equipment for vaccine storage. We also have essential medicines
“The number of primary health centres that will be receiving basic health care provision from quarter three, right now they’re about 237. We’re adding another 249. These facilities will receive funds every quarter. The low volume ones will receive 600,000, the high-volume ones will receive 800,000 directly from NPHCDA every quarter. This will enable them to turn on the lights, to hire adhoc workers and do other things that they need to do.
