Kogi State governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello is the first executive governor to get a female Aide de Camp.
She is Miss Ifeoma Akaya, an Assistant Duperintendent of Police, daughter to a late commissioner of police, Charles Akaya, is a legal practitioner.
She was redeployed as Bello’s ADC following the transfer of Bello’s first ADC, Usman Shugaba, to Lagos State.
Shugaba, a Chief Superintendent of Police, was later redeployed to serve as ADC to the wife of the president, Aisha Buhari.
This came up after the former ADC from Kano State was relieved of his duties right before kogi state governorship election in November 2019.
