The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, on Wednesday appointed Hon. Femi Bolaji, as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Culture and Tourism.
Hon. Femi Bolaji, who received his Appointment Letter on May 6, 2020, through the Office of the Secretary to the Statement Government, was until his appointment the Unit Head of N-Power, Kogi State Social Investment Program (Kogi-SIP).
Bolaji is an Egbe born from Yagba West, a business management expert, a seasoned technocrat, an astute public administrator of repute and a philanthropist per merit.
He is a Christian by faith and happily married and blessed with children.
Hon. Bolaji completed his secondary education at Government College, Ikorodu in Lagos State, where he went further for his tertiary education at Kwara state polytechnic, and then proceeded to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.
He acquired his professional qualification at Lagos Business School where he studied Entrepreneurial Management. He has equally participated in entrepreneur management training at Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme.
Hon. Femi Bolaji is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Wauley Farms Limited. He is a grass root mobilizer and a political statistician.
As far back as 16 years, he contested as a candidate for Yagba Federal House of Representatives under the platform of Alliance for Democracy and lost to Chief Sam Aro of Peoples Democratic Party.
Femi Bolaji as popularly called is an house hold name in Yagba west politics. He is an APC chieftain and critical stakeholder of the ruling All Progressive Congress in Yagba west.
He has contributed towards the success and realization of several people political ambition. His generosity has endeared the heart of generality of people to him.
It is an appointment well deserved.
Speaking to our Reporter in Lokoja on his appointment, Bolaji expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Gov. Yahaya Bello, for considering him worthy of the appointment, while thanking the people of Yagba west for their support.
He assured the governor of his commitment and determination to serve the state and his people to the best of his abilities, while consolidating on his previous remarkable achievements.
Meanwhile, a member of Kogi State House of Assembly representing Yagba West State Constituency, Hon. Aderonke Aro, has Congratulated Hon. Femi Bolaji on his new appointment.
Aro who doubles as the Chairman, House Committee on Health and Social Services, noted that Bolaji’s appointment into this position of trust and confidence was made upon careful assessment of his credentials and competence, patriotic disposition and expressed loyalty while in Social Investment Office.
”It is hoped that you will employ these qualities to bear towards ensuring effective discharge of your assigned duties as Special Adviser on Culture and Tourism to the Governor.
