The former governor of Oyo state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, who has been reported to have died on Thursday is still alive and recovering.
Some online news and the Twitter NG have rumoured that the former Governor of Oyo died to underlying health condition worsened by the Coronavirus.
However this is not true as, investigative Journalist, Dr. Kemi Olunloyo has confirmed from the Family of the Former Governor that he is alive and talking recovery.
In her Post in Twitter, Kemi Olunloyo tweeted that:
“#Breaking, I was inundated by messages that government @AAAjimobi has Died in Lagos! I could not get the info from Oyo lawmakers, elites, media. I have finally confirmed and spoke to the family 9:15pm 6/18/20. He is alive and talking recovery.”
According to Kemi, one of Ajimobi’s daughter told her that God is not ready to take their father yet.
Just on Wednesday, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) rose from a meeting at the Party’s National Secretariat affirming Sen. Abiola Ajimobi as the Party’s Acting National Chairman following the Appeal Court’s ruling affirming the suspension of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as National Chairman and in line with Section 14.2 (iii) of the Party’s Constitution.
