Former special adviser to president Goodluck Jonathan on politics, Ali Gulak has reportedly been assassinated by unknown gunmen in Owerri, the capital of IMO State.
Confirming the sad incident to our reporter, a former classmate of the slain politician who is also a PDP stalwart in Adamawa State, Dr. Umar Ardo said,
“I just confirmed the sad and gruesome murder of my friend and classmate, the former special adviser political to president Goodluck Jonathan.”
According to Ardo, Gulak was assassinated in the night by yet to be identified gunmen in Owerri.
Gulak was a one-time speaker of Adamawa State house of assembly and former special assistant to the vice president.
