Rt Honourable Muktar Betara is the member representing kwaya kusar federal Constituency of Borno state and chairman House of Representatives committee on appropriation who had attracted a lot of development to his area in the last two years.
Disturbed by the current trend and state of the roads in Borno and Yobe state and other parts of North East,he engaged the Minister of Works and Housing,Babatunde Raji Fashola in what seems like a save our soul trip to the headquarters with his colleagues at the green chamber.
The state of infrastructural decay particularly roads and important national monuments had degenerated into a worrisome situations that had made the area vulnerable to the unabated insecurity situation in the area.
This is coming in spite of the efforts of elected officials from the States of North East both at the local ,state and federal level, particularly Rt Honourable Betara as principal officer of the green chamber.
With good access roads in the North East, the issue of subsequent security surge will be reduced to the barest minimum,as bad roads and dearth of infrastructural development has been a great impediment to the people and advantage to the bandits, kidnappers and Boko Haram,as well as ISWAP.
Rt Honourable Betara’s representation on behalf of the people of North East was a right step in the right direction, particularly to keep the federal authorities on notice of the deplorable situation.
His leadership disposition goes beyond his Constituency, state and the North East,as his desire to ensure sane appropriation of resources to the purpose budgeted for in the yearly capital budget of Nigeria is non negotiable.
This he had demonstrated at the regional level to attract more government presence and also alert it on the growing responsibility and it’s consequences particularly at this critical time of our national life.
The role model posture exhibited by Rt Honourable Muktar Betara showed his passion for good representation and his continuing determination to continue to display such exclusive and unique qualities going forward.
The people of kwaya kusar,Borno state, North East and Nigeria stand to benefit from the selfless and people oriented leadership qualities of Rt Honourable Betara, not only at the green chamber, but by extension to the entire country, both now and in the nearest future.
The patriotic zeal and determination of the federal lawmaker is worth emulation by his colleagues at the green chamber, as it will pave way for accountable and responsive leadership not only to your constituency ,but entire Nigeria.
He has not only demonstrated quality leadership, but with foresight in all ramifications towards the welfare of his constituency by and large the entire Nation.
