The Presidential candidate of the PDP is reportedly in a clear lead across 17 states of Nigeria.
This is coming after INEC’s local government collation and announcements.
These states include Benue, Taraba, Plateau, Oyo, Ondo, Enugu, Edo, Imo, Anambra, Ebonyi, Abia, Cross Rivers, Akwa Ibom, FCT, Adamawa, Bayelsa and Rivers.
From the demographics, it shows Atiku Abubakar is retaining his strongholds while eating deep into the opposition stronghold.
For instance, in Oyo, PDP lost with 200,000 votes in 2015, but presently, the party is in a clear lead in the state.
In addition, Atiku is set to score higher margins in the Northwest, while splitting the votes in his home region, the North East.
It is remarkable how Atiku is doing very well in the South west, North West, a region designated as a Buhari stronghold. More results will be communicated as they are announced.
