Abuja Electricity Distribution Company has announced outages in parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and Kogi State.

The disco made this known in two separate notices on Saturday and Sunday through its X account.

In Abuja, AEDC listed Zulu Community, Eco Bank, Guardian Newspaper, and the environs as areas affected.

Other affected areas are ENL, Paradise Estate, FHA Guzape, Efab Classic Estate, Metro City Estate, Sticks & Stones, Yayala Estate, Trademore Estate, Choos Estate, Maxcare Plaza, Faith Plaza, and Sunflower Plaza.

Also, locations in Abuja such as Erifu Estate, DME Estate, Greenpath School, Earth Point Estate, Sunnyvale Estate, Brains & Hammer 1, 2, 4, Hunters Garden, Ecofitness, Brains & Hammer 3 Apo, Bamaga Tukur Street, Eye Clinic, Best Way Hotel, Franca Afegbua Crescent, and Zone C; Defence College, Checkin Hotel, Abba Kyari Street, Adeyemi Adesoji Street, Start Right School, Zone E Extension, Idu, Karmo, Citec Mbora, Airport Road, Nile University, Base University, Karimajiji, Kuchingoro, and environs are affected by the power supply disruption.

AEDC blamed a technical fault as the reason for the outage in parts of Abuja.

“We regret to inform you that the current power outage affecting your area is due to a technical fault.”

Regarding Kogi State, AEDC said the outage affected areas such as Okene township, Osisi, Kabba Junction, FCE, Osar, Mark Farm, Kabba, Isanlu, Ososo, Magogo, Ikare, Ihima, and surrounding locations in the state due to the planned Transmission Company of Nigeria maintenance exercise at the Okpella–Okene 132-kilovolt line on Sunday.

“This maintenance is part of our continued efforts to enhance service reliability and improve the power supply to your community.

We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding during this necessary activity,” the disco said.
