The Deputy Rector (Academics) Muhammed I. Yusufu (phD) and Associate Professor of food Product Development from the Federal Polytechnic Idah, Kogi state, has been inducted as FELLOW of the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (FNIFST)
The Award Was presented to him by the National President of the institute at the 48th NIFST Conference and AGM Coronation held at the Government house hall, Kano State, on the 15th October, 2024.
The event was attended by dignitaries, including His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Emir of Kano, Khalifa Sanusi Lamido, other distinguished fellows and members of the Institute across the country.
The conferment of Fellowship is a prestigious recognition by the NIFST for Dr. Ikagu’s exemplary contributions to the field of Food Science and Technology.
His dedication and expertise in the field have advanced the industry’s progress and development in Nigeria.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Ikagu expressed his gratitude to the Institute for the honor and recognition. He also acknowledged the support of his colleagues and mentors throughout his career. He noted that the award will spur him to give more to the institute and the nation at large.
