Kogi State  government said is yet to decide when the local government councils election will hold.
The Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo made this known on Wednesday when he was refuting an online publication.
According to him, the news published by an online publication was not only false but outrightly fake.
He stated further that at no time did the Hon Commissioner make such statement, pointing out that it is not the duty of the Executive to make preparations for nor organise elections.
He stressed that it is statutory responsibility of the State Independent Election Commission to carry out such exercise and set date for Local Government Elections as enshrined in the relevant extant laws of the State.
He therefore, call on the general public to discountenance the said publication, stressing that the publication is outrightly falsehood and a figment of the author`s imaginations.
