A political support group, Oworo Youth Network for Karimi, has declared its backing for the Senator representing Kogi West, Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group formally demonstrated its support by presenting branded campaign materials, including face caps, T-shirts and stickers bearing the senator’s name and photograph, during a visit to his office in Abuja.
Receiving the delegation, Senator Karimi described the initiative as a remarkable show of commitment and the first of its kind from the Oworo axis.
He expressed appreciation for the group’s confidence in his leadership, assuring them of his continued support and accessibility.
“I sincerely appreciate you for this gesture. It reflects your commitment and love for the people of Kogi West. I will always be available whenever my support is needed,” he said.
The lawmaker also highlighted some of his achievements since assuming office, citing interventions in education, healthcare, road infrastructure and youth empowerment across Kogi West.
Karimi reaffirmed his commitment to delivering more democratic dividends to the people, expressing confidence that greater accomplishments would be recorded with continued public support.
“I remain committed to positively impacting the lives of our people. By God’s grace and with your support, we will achieve even more if re-elected,” he added.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Aledare Olatunji said the presentation of the campaign materials was aimed at appreciating the senator’s performance and demonstrating the group’s solidarity with his leadership.
Other members of the delegation included Engr. S.B. Suleiman, Prince Abdullahi Oberewa, and Usman Danjuma.
The group pledged to intensify mobilization efforts across Oworo land in support of Senator Karimi’s re-election bid in 2027.
