
Bola Tinubu has congratulated Dr. Tunde Olusunle on his birthday, commending his contributions to journalism, literature, Kogi State and national development.
In a statement issued on Monday by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, the President described Olusunle as a distinguished poet, journalist, editor and former member of the Editorial Board of Daily Times.
President Tinubu praised Olusunle for his service to Kogi State, noting that he worked with three governors in information and media management positions between 1992 and 1998.
The President also recalled that Olusunle served as a presidential aide from 1999 to 2007, contributing to governance and public communication at the national level.
Tinubu further lauded Olusunle’s intellectual depth and strong engagement in the media space, describing him as a committed journalist and watchdog of society.
The President particularly highlighted Olusunle’s achievements in creative writing and editing, noting his involvement in more than a dozen books over the past four years.
He also commended Olusunle for mentoring younger writers and journalists, saying his support has helped nurture emerging talents in the profession.
President Tinubu prayed for Olusunle’s continued good health, wisdom and many more years of service to the nation.
