Stop being delusional , APC have only one agenda; to deliver GYB/CEDO ticket
Our attention has been drawn to an online post referred to above and we find cause to speak out where otherwise we would have continued to watch in silent amusement.
While the headline is sensational, it is also senseless because it is not grounded in fact.
For the avoidance of doubt, Rt. Hon. Matthew Olusola Kolawole; Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly is focused on the victory of his party, the All Progressives Congress and by extension the reelection of Alhaji Yahaya Bello in the November, 2019 governorship election.
The pain and frustration of detractors is understood against the backdrop of the successful reconciliation drive that has seen the return of many party members to APC while the problems of the opposition continue to build up with the passing of each day.
Targeting Rt. Hon. M. O. Kolawole with a campaign of calumny is expected because of his pivotal role in the revitalization of APC in Kogi West but rather than deter, it will spur him to do more.
The Speaker is preoccupied with the assignment of delivering victory for the GYB/CEDO ticket, hence he is using all the resources at his disposal to promote the activities of the party as it was witnessed in the GYB/CEDO carnival he sponsored in Kabba/Bunu and donation of 3 Sharon buses to the party ; one to each Federal Constituency in Kogi West aside the production and distribution of other souvenirs to party faithfuls.
These are just snippets to what is the offing from the Speaker in the quest for an overwhelming victory for the GYB/CEDO ticket come November, 2019.
The Speaker as a devoted Christian believes it is only God that reigns Supreme in the affairs of men, hence for now Rt. Hon. M. O. Kolawole has not declared any aspiration for 2023 and any mischievous insinuation to that effect or of a phantom rift because of same is a litany of preposterous and baseless assertions targeted at causing disaffection within the APC. Rather, he is giving glory to God for the opportunity given to him to serve as the Speaker of the Assembly by his colleagues and the leadership of the party in the state.
Whatever campaign strategy deployed by the Eastern and Western zones, the bottom line is that APC will win big in both zones.
It is good to note that the healthy rivalry among the two zones is the assurance of the overwhelming victory of APC/ GYB/CEDO come November 16, Governorship election.
The issue of who will become the next Governor in 2024 is in the hands of God and every reasonable person or group of individuals should understand their and allow it to guide their actions and utterances.
The opposition is counselled to pay more attention to the turmoil within its ranks and stop chasing shadows as that will not in anyway prevent it from the humiliating trouncing they will receive in the coming election.
The opposition should know by now that APC is out for a serious business to win by a wide margin that they will not encourage or permit any legal challenge.
