Egbunu Amanabo Yusuf
has emerged as the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) flag bearer for Idah/Ibaji/Igalamela/Ofu Federal constituency
Amanabo polled 112 votes to defeat his opponent Atiku Abubakar Isah who polled 46 votes. The election which took place at the Stephen Achema Handball Stadium in Idah was adjudged to be peaceful, free and fair.
The returning officer Honorable Obansa Muhammed declared Amanabo winner having scored the highest number of votes.
While addressing the media after he was declared winner, Amanabo extended the olive branch to his opponent asking him to join hands with him in the race to win at the general election.
He said the NNPP will spring surprises in Kogi State at the 2023 general election.
