According to Channels Television 2023 presidential opinion poll recently conducted shortly after interviewing the governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello last Friday, the poll shows that 91 percent of Nigerians rejected him as president.
The opinion poll has already found that majority of Nigerians are not in supports of Kogi Governor, Yahaya Bello becoming President.
An online poll conducted by the Channels Television shows that those who are against his presidential ambition far outweighed those in support.
According to the poll, only 6% say they support the KOGI governor becoming President.
Those percentage is an outcry from the 91% of Nigerians who voted against his ambition.
With 20 months to the next general election, BELLO’S hope of becoming the APC flagbearer or winning the presidential election seems to have fallen.
This is the first authentic opinion poll that will be conducted by a reputable media outlet since the governor has began canversing for the number 1 position of the country.
Ironically, the poll was conducted just few hours after the governor in a live interview with the same media station avered that “ALL NIGERIANS ARE CALLING FOR HIM TO RUN FOR THE PRESIDENCY”.
However, 3% of people who voted were indifference to his ambition.
It was most disturbing that majority of those who voted are youths whom the governor has always fronted for. He had at many fora called for “Age Restructuring” for public offices. He even adopted the toga “IT’S YOUTH O’CLOCK”.
