It is only a successfully coup de etat that will remove APC from power. In other to silence criticisms and dissenting voice from the National Assembly. Buhari and his band of warlocks have bludgeoned democracy to a final death knell with all the institutions bowing before their whims and caprices.
The Smart Robbery of Kogi West Senatorial election was well planned and orchestrated by the mental vagabonds in power who had vowed to unseat Sen. Dino Melaye with the crude usage of absolute power. It was well thought, reflected and organised to eliminate the force of truth and sanity. Dino is a history maker. He challenged, fought and pulverised the strength of draconian rule. He is Hector, Odyssey, Shakespeare and Alexandra the great. He is a man of many tribulations.
The election gambit was planned by Yahaya Bello, a classless character who is known for tyranny and Hobbesian principles. When Dino fell out with Bello on the grounds that he was owing Kogi State Civil Servants several backlogs of unpaid salaries and also owing the retired civil servants pensions despite collecting Bail out and Paris refunds from the federal government with the huge monthly allocation that flows into the state on monthly basis.
Yet, he refused to pay workers in the state which resulted to death, vices, suicide and crime penetration to the state with several unpaid wages slumbering on the laps of the incubus governor.
The gonif became berserk about Dino’s grandstanding of non payment of salaries to civil servants in Kogi state at plenary meetings in NASS which became his prompter to fraudulently procure a failed recall process which was roundly rejected by Kogites.
Kogi state is periled in darkness, poverty and arrested development. The state is ravaged with debts, underdevelopment and stark illiteracy. The state is among the list of most impoverished state in the North Central without no visible records of physical infrastructure and economic breakthrough.
Dino built bridges, roads, schools hospitals, halls, solar water projects and rural electrification projects across his senatorial district in Yagba East, Yagba West, Kabba Bunnu, Korton-kafe, Mopa-Muro and other districts under his jurisdiction.
He represented Kogi West senatorial districts in all plenary meetings, oversight engagements and legislative functions. He sponsored bills and moved for its adoption and proper implementation at NASS. Dino did not go to sleep in National Assembly, with the way other Mannequin senators do. Dino was in charge. He was in the realm fighting and roaring against tyranny and evil manipulation. He was in firm control of most of the decisions made at the red chamber
Dino revealed NNPC and Maina windfall which indicted NNPC GMD. He uncovered the grasscutter scam of Fmr SGF, Babachir Lawal and other indictments and financial misappropriation. He was their worst nightmare. He was their greatest undoings. He was their most troubled moments. He was their sleepless nights which he sermonized with advocacy and truth.
For antagonising the plundering powers in APC.
They framed him up with armed struggle.
They framed him up with thuggery
They framed him up with vehicular killings
They framed him up with hate speech and cyber bullying.
They framed him up with certificate forgery which was master minded by the Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore. Today, Sowore is living in the gulag. APC has denied him bail and repeatedly violated his civil rights and liberties. They now serve him food on a cold bare floor. I’m quite sure, he’d be given the MKO Abiola treatment.
The National Assembly invited the VC of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, to the senate floor to calm the storm and the numberless controversies surrounding his academic credentials. To the chagrin of his enemies, he wore convocation gown to the 7th assembly to receive collegial handshake and warm applause from his colleagues.
To Dino Daniel Melaye. You fought the Lions in power. You stood fearless, courageous and outspoken in the midst of oppression and brute force. You spoke the home truth to the Sons of Bellial. You shone light to tyranny of darkness. You stood your ground with integrity and challenged the animosity of power grab and state capture.
Not even their hate, interlocking teeth, jawdropping bile and bitter venom could suppress his voice. You spoke for the common man, you spoke for all the geopolitical zones and you spoke for all Nigerians and lovers of democracy.
Democracy is dead and buried.
It is a rise of robotic parliament
It is a rise of rubber stamp legislative arm.
It is a rise of fascism, thuggery, state capture, gangsterism and Hobbesian institutions.
Burn down this bridge.
