President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, on Monday commissioned multiple projects executed by the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo as part of his one year anniversary.
The President who was represented by the Vice president, Kashim Shettima arrived the state in company of APC national Chairman, Dr Umar Ganduje and Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, around 12.000 noon through Dangote Air strip, received a rousing welcome
They were gladly welcome and received by Gov. Ododo, his deputy, Joel Oyibo, former governors Yahaya Bello and Idris wada, Commissionerrs and other government officials.
Ododo led the vice president and his delegation to the Zone around about in Lokoja Local Government Area where three road projects were commissioned at a go to tge chagrin of the residents of state.
The projects first commissioned in the state are Zone 8-Zango Daji- Kaduna Junction road (9Km), Zone 8 – Crusher Road (5.5Km)
Other projects include 350 bed hostels for both boys and girls in Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Demonstration farm, two faculties in the same university and some PHCs across the state.
Addressing the President’s delegation, Gov Ododo said the projects executed were a demonstration of his desire to improve tge wellbeing of the people of Kogi State.
Ododo said that the projects scattered across the state were part of campaign promises to the people who elected him into office to serve them as their chief servant.
He thanked his predecessor for laying a solid foundation for him to consolidate upon for the growth and development of the state.
Immediately after commissioning the projects the Vice president and his entourage were moved to Government House, were they had some private chat with stakeholders in the state before to Muhamadu Buhari Square for the proper anniversary celebration.
