The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo, has assured members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that his administration will not impose candidates in future party processes.
Governor Ododo made this commitment during a meeting with key APC stakeholders, held in Government House where discussions focused on party unity, internal democracy, and preparations for upcoming political activities.
Addressing party leaders and members, the governor emphasized the importance of fairness and transparency in the selection of candidates.
He noted that allowing party members to freely choose their representatives would strengthen the APC and promote greater trust within its ranks.
He further reiterated his administration’s commitment to upholding democratic principles, stating that every aspirant would be given a level playing field to contest without interference.
Stakeholders at the meeting welcomed the governor’s position, describing it as a step toward fostering inclusiveness and strengthening cohesion within the party across the state.
