THE Nigeria Peoples Congress, (NPC), has elected Alhaji Mohammed Onipe Aliyu as the party governorship candidate in November governorship election in Kogi state.
The candidate emerged through a consensus voting at the Party’s Primary Election held at its Secretariat in Lokoja on 3 September, 2019.
In his acceptance speech, Aliyu pledged that in line with the party’s motto, “Security and Transparency” shall be the hallmark of his administration if elected.
He promised to embark on aggressive agricultural revolution which shall be complemented with agro processing in all the Local Government Areas of the State so as to provide gainful employment for the youth.
According to him, the NPC government will take practical steps towards industrialization of the State by working closely with all relevant stakeholders that will make Ajaokuta Stee| Project a reality.
Aliyu who also doubles as the state chairman of the party, added that a University of Steel Technology Will be established within the first four yours of his administration.
He promised to work vigorously towards realizing the full potentials of the youth which has remained unfulfilled for the past four decades after the tragic demise of the first republic.
