Senator Sunday Steve Karimi on Sunday received widespread commendation from stakeholders across Yagba Federal Constituency as political leaders, traditional rulers, youth and women groups, and community representatives reaffirmed their support for his representation and expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement came during the Yagba Federal Constituency Town Hall Meeting held at GYB Hall in Isanlu under the theme, “Continuity for Sustainable Development in Kogi West Senatorial District.”
The gathering attracted council chairmen, serving and former lawmakers, traditional rulers, persons with disabilities, youth and women associations, who reviewed the senator’s stewardship and discussed development priorities for the constituency.
Presenting his scorecard, Senator Karimi representing Kogi west Senatorial district in th National Assembly, highlighted projects and interventions executed across Kogi West in the areas of infrastructure, education, youth empowerment and community development.
He appreciated constituents for their continued support and pledged to sustain efforts aimed at attracting more federal projects to the district.
According to the senator, continuity in leadership would ensure the completion of ongoing projects and create more opportunities for development across Kogi West.
He also urged residents to remain united and continue supporting the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the Renewed Hope Agenda was delivering positive results.
Earlier, Senator Karimi paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Yagba East Traditional Council, Oba Moses Babatunde Etombi, where he reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the traditional institution.
He described traditional rulers as vital partners in promoting peace, security and grassroots development.
The monarch commended the senator’s performance, encouraged him to sustain his developmental initiatives and offered prayers for his future political aspirations.
During the interactive session at the town hall, participants praised both the Tinubu administration and Senator Karimi for development projects and empowerment programmes implemented across Kogi West.
Speakers described the senator as accessible and responsive, noting that his interventions had positively impacted many communities within the district.
Stakeholders also emphasized the need for unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying a united party would be better positioned to consolidate its achievements and prepare for future political contests.
The meeting concluded with a vote of confidence in President Tinubu and Senator Karimi, as participants pledged continued support for their leadership and commitment to sustaining development in Kogi West and the country.
