In their efforts to promote the concept of EBIGO and the need to properly define EQUITY, JUSTICE and FAIRNESS in the right perspectives vis-a-vis the demand for power shift to kogi West Senatorial District in the next dispensation, the Leadership of Kogi West Vision Initiatives has taken the bold step to sensitize the good people of Kogi State with the installation of a giant billboard across the state.
According to a press statement made available to our reporter in Kabba, the President and Secretary General of the group, Chief Babajide Olorunmaiye and Architect Oluwasegun Thomas respectively, the group believe that each Senatorial District should be given equal opportunity to govern the state.
The messages on the billboards are very clear and unambiguous; it is simply telling us to support 16-16-16 tenure of Governorship position in the state.
The IGALAS had a tenure of 16 years as Governor and the Ebira should be allowed to do 16 years so as to enable Kogi West spends 16 years when it is their turn
There’s no need to rush this agitation for power shift to kogi West Senatorial District in order to avoid being shortchanged.
We need to consolidate on the EBIGO AGENDA for the growth and Development of Kogi State.
No tribe or Ethnic group is superior than one another. If truly Kogi State belongs to all of us, we should follow the spirit of EQUITY JUSTICE AND FAIRNESS to the letters.
We are appealing to Kogi East and Kogi West Senatorial Districts to allow power retention in the Central Senatorial District. This will further promote our Unity in diversity.
