The National leadership of Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria and the Nigerian Union of Teachers and Comr. Audu Titus Amba, says it is satisfied with the commitment of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo’s administration especially in the Health and Education Sectors.

The National President of M&HWU as well as NUT, Dr. Kabiru Ado Sani-Minjibir made the disclosure while speaking in his office in Abuja when he received a team led by Comr. Edoka on behalf of the State Government, expressed appreciation to Gov. Ododo for the appointment of Onuh Edoka as Special Adviser.

Dr Kabir Ado Sani-Minjibir said Gov. Ododo has changed the narratives, expressed satisfaction that there will be industrial harmony in the State with the Governor’s leadership style.

He noted that the payment of hundred percent hazard allowance to all categories of health workers was a dream come true, stressed that the measure demonstrates the Governor’s political will to providing good governance.

The President said the Secretariat was aware of other interventions, both in health and other sectors, thanked the Governor for recognizing labour leaders in his administration.

Dr Kabiru explained that the Governor has made a right choice, noting that Onuh Edoka as Special Adviser will deliver optimally with his vast wealth of experience, commitment to duty and administrative acumen.

The National President, urged other Governors, the President to inject more labour leaders into governance in order to achieve greater value, described Comr. Edoka as one of the most respected labour leaders in the Country.

Also at the Teachers House, the National President of Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, Comrade Audu Titus Amba noted that all labour leaders appointed into government have never disappointed, citing the Kebbi State Governor as a good example.

Comrade Audu said it was necessary for governments to see the value of labour leaders in governance, explaining that the appointees should give in their best.

The NUT National President commended Kogi State Governor for taking right steps as a former comrade and appealed to Comrade Onuh Edoka and his team to remain focused in the task of realizing improved workers welfare.

Earlier during the visits, Comrade Onuh Edoka said the visit was to preach the new gospel in Kogi State.

Comrade Edoka described the visits as essential, adding that the leadership of organized labour should be abreast of a Governor with renewed hope through cordial government/labour relationship.
