The Chairman of the APC Chairmanship Campaign Council in Mopamuro Local Government Area of Kogi State and the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo has expressed confidence that the ruling All Progressives Congress will win the Chairmanship poll as well as clear all the Councilorship seats on October 19, 2024, charging party faithful to take the election with seriousness.

Addressing newsmen in Lokoja on Saturday, Fanwo said Mopamuro has always been the home of APC.

His words: “Mopamuro has consistently delivered to the APC since 2015 because the party remains the choice of the people.

“In the last two elections which are the House of Assembly and the Governorship, we made history by winning every single Ward in the Local Government. It is a standard that we hope to always maintain in subsequent elections.

“With the guidance of our leaders, we have remained the stronghold of the party in Kogi West. We will even be more comfortable as we just received the leaders and members of the opposition ADC in the Local Government Area. In the coming days, we will receive more leaders from the opposition party. We are pretty comfortable”, he said.

Fanwo said the Local Government is benefitting from infrastructural projects across the state.

“The ongoing Mopa Township Roads project is something that all of us in Mopamuro appreciate and we will show with our votes on October 19. More than 6 of our Primary Healthcare Centres have also been listed for upgrades. Mopamuro people are getting the rewards of being the only Local Government Area that has delivered every election for the APC since 2015 in Kogi West.

“We thank His Excellency Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo for remembering Mopamuro in his projects across the state. We have never had it this good”, he said.

The Information Commissioner called on party members to get ready for the mother of all rallies as the Campaign Train of Destiny/Joy is set to hold rallies across the ten Wards of Mopamuro LGA.

“We will campaign hard and work hard to win and win well on October 19. We have a candidate that has distinguished himself as a grassroots General who is poised to change the face of Mopamuro for good.

“Hon. Ademola Bello Destiny has proved during his brief stint that he is prepared to serve the people. As a former Supervisor and a former Caretaker Chairman of the Local Government Area, he is prepared to take Mopamuro to the next level”.
