THE People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has called for the immediate transfer of the Kogi State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakim Busari from the state as well as the Residents Electoral Commissioner Professor James Apam before the Governorship election.
The call was contained in the resolution of the Lokoja local government council PDP reached at its enlarged stakeholders meeting held in Lokoja.
The party insisted that the duo of the Police Commissioner and the Resident Electoral Commissioner must go before November election.
The party in a communiqué signed by Alhaji Abubakar Idris, the Lokoja Local Government Party Chairman, also warned against the deployment of Dr. Amina Zakari to the state to oversee the polls, insisting that on no condition must she be allowed to be part of the Kogi State Governorship election.
According to the party, it has to raise the alarm for the deployment of the officers as their actions is no longer in the interest of credible conduct of the forthcoming governorship election.
The PDP in the communiqué however passed vote of confidence on the Nigeria Army Command and the Department of State Security Service in Lokoja, saying over the years they have proven to be above board in their conduct professionally.
The party restated its commitment to ensuring victory for the party and its candidate, Engr. Musa Wada in the forthcoming governorship election, asked members not to rest on their oars, but work round the clock to seal the victory for the party.
