A Kogi State High Court sitting in Lokoja on Wednesday adjourned till October 7th, 2019 to enable party’s in the party’s primaries to abridgement for the purpose of Time.
Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim the runners up during the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary election had approached the court seeking for an enforcement that he won the party’s primaries held on 3 September, 2019.
The matter which came up for mention on Wednesday had to be adjourn for party’s to abridge the Time, using the front loading system.
The case of Abubakar Ibrahim Vs Engr. Musa Wada, PDP and others; at the end of first mention would now be heard on Monday, October 7th 2019.
The Kogi State Governorship election comes up on 16 November, 2019, with 23 political parties set to slug it out.
However, the PDP is presently facing crisis following the refusal of the former governor of the state Alhaji Ibrahim Idris and his son Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Idris to work for the victory of the party during the November 16 Governorship election in the state.
The party had declared Engr. Musa Wada as the winner of the primary election held in Lokoja.
