An appointee in the cabinet of Kogi State Governor from Ijumu local government area of the state is being accused of stealing rice sent by Senator Sunday Karimi to his people to celebrate Christmas.
According to our source the appointee who is a Senior Special Adviser to the governor was alleged to have mounted pressure on Prince Dayo Akanmode who supervised the distribution to release 28 bags to him on behalf of his colleague SSA.
Our source revealed that only one of this close friends who is also an SSA was privy to the deal.
However, trouble started when the others had about it and questioned why he had to use their names to collect rice meant for the people.
The SSA was said to be giving several excuses to defend his actions
One elder from the LGA is said to be preparing to take the SSA to court for trying to drag his name as reason for the scandal.
Authoritatively the rice were sold in Kabba for 40,000 by the SSA as reliably gathered.
