Senator Sunday Steve Karimi has congratulated Duro Meseko on his re-election as Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress.
Karimi, who represents Kogi West Senatorial District and Chairs the Senate Committee on Services, conveyed the congratulatory message in a statement issued on Saturday following the party’s eighth national convention held in Abuja.
Meseko was returned unopposed alongside other members of the party’s National Executive Committee during the convention.
According to Karimi, the unopposed return of the party leadership was a reflection of the good work done by the executive in unifying and strengthening the APC.
He said the rancour-free affirmation process at the convention signalled positive prospects for the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The senator expressed confidence that the successful convention would pave the way for the endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the APC presidential primary expected in the coming weeks and ultimately support his re-election bid in the January 2027 presidential election.
Karimi also said he believed the return of the National Executive Committee would contribute to the party’s success in elections across all levels.
He further stated that the people of Kogi West Senatorial Zone were proud of Meseko’s performance and representation at the national level of the party.
The senator wished Meseko greater success in his future political engagements and congratulated him on his renewed mandate.
