Our attention has been drawn to a group of desperate and self-serving individuals parading themselves as the leadership of the APC in the Gbede axis of Ijumu Local Government.

These same individuals have allegedly claimed to endorse Arch. Salman for a second term. This claim is misleading, false, and entirely void of legitimacy.

The truth remains clear and undeniable. From every objective analysis available, the political strength within the Gbede Axis is clearly shared as follows: Hon. Toyin Omole controls about 40%, former Kogi State Speaker Rt. Hon. Mathew Kolawole controls another 40%, Arch. Salman controls about 15%, while the remaining 5% is shared among others. If Arch. Salman is truly as popular as being claimed, a critical question must be asked: why are key stakeholders across the APC conspicuously absent from his camp? Popularity cannot be declared in isolation from the vital political blocs and grassroots structures that determine real electoral strength.

The reality on ground is that the people of Gbede are firmly behind the energetic, pragmatic, and people-centered leadership of Hon. Toyin Omole. Today, in Gbede and across Ijumu Local Government, Hon. Toyin Omole remains a household name—loved, trusted, and widely accepted by the people.

To set the record straight, the so-called endorsement being circulated can best be described as an endorsement of failure, an endorsement of rebellion, and an endorsement of poor representation by the incumbent office holder of the Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency. The people of Gbede are politically conscious and cannot be deceived by such theatrics.

As far as the APC Gbede axis in Ijumu Local Government is concerned, the only respected and recognized leaders we acknowledge are individuals with proven records of leadership and service. These include Hon. Taufiq A. Isah, Hon. Sunday Faleke, Hon. Charvid Ayedogbon, Hon. Richard Osaseyi, Hon. Pastor Kayode Ezemikose, Hon. Bola Oshe, Hon. Femi Ezemikose, Dr. Dele Nìyí, Hon. Fatai Arole, Hon. Prime Abubakar, Hon. Dele Folorunsho, Ijumu Apc forum Chairman and several other committed leaders. These are leaders who genuinely lead and whom we proudly follow.

It is important to state that Arch. Salman has, since his claimed entry into the APC, consistently promoted disunity and division within the party across the Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency. His continued absence from the grassroots and lack of genuine connection with the people have only widened this divide. The question that must be asked is simple and direct: how many APC members across the constituency has he truly empowered?

Gbede Kingdom stands firmly for unity, progress, and people-oriented leadership. Hon. Toyin Omole represents these values and continues to hold a special place in the hearts of the people. No amount of propaganda or false endorsements can change this reality.

Signed:
Concerned Citizens of Gbede Kingdom
Ayetoro Gbede.
