Governor Yahaya Bello Of Kogi State has expressed shock following the passing of the Chief Imam Of Ebira Land Alhaji Musa Galadima.

This was contained in a statement signed by Onogwu Muhammed, his Chief Press Secretary and made available to newsmen in Lokoja, Kogi State on Friday.

The governor however, extolled Alhaji Galadima, describing him as a humble, gentle and serious Islamic Teacher whose tutelage extended beyond Nigeria, while calling on Islamic Clerics to emulate the life led by the deceased.

Governor Bello said the death of the Chief Imam was a devastating loss not only to Kogi State, but also to Islamic World, adding that the depth of the loss would be felt beyond the shores of Nigeria in view of the vastness and depth of his knowledge.

The statement read in part “The late Chief Imam was God-fearing, honest, disciplined, and obedient to the constituted authority especially the traditional institution.

The Governor condoled with the Ohinoyi Of Ebira Land, the immediate family and disciples of late Alhaji Musa Galadima as well as the people of Kogi State and the Muslim Community at large.

The governor prayed to Allah to forgive him all his shortcomings and made Aljanat Firdaus his final resting place.

Meanwhile, the Administrator of Okehi LG Council, Hon AbdulRaheem Ozovehe Ohiare has condoled the good people of Ebiraland, specifically the Muslim Ummah over the demise of the revered Chief Imam of Ebiraland, Sheikh Musa Abdullahi Galadima.

In his condolence message made available through his Media Aide, Comrade Abdullahi Abubakar, the Council Administrator expressed grief over the death of the renowned Islamic Leader whose contributions to the development of Islamic faith in Ebiraland was never in doubt.

Further describing the late Imam as a humble, pious and peace loving religious leader, the Council Boss referred to him as an exemplary Cleric whose life was worthy of emulation by the younger ones.

“He’s a peacemaker, a bridge builder and a society developer who has left an indelible mark in the history of Ebiraland”, said Hon. Ohiare.

He added, “we shall continue to miss him especially this time that his invaluable role towards the progress of Ebiraland is mostly needed”.

_”We can’t question the will of God as death is inevitable upon every soul; we however, prayed God almighty to accept his soul and grant him perfect rest in aljannah firdaus (Ameen).”

“May Allah (SWT) grant Ebiraland, specifically, the Muslim ummah the fortitude to bear this great loss (Ameen)”, the Okehi Administrator finally prayed.
