As Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi Stats declares for a second term of office, the newly elected member of House of Representative representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro federal constituency, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has made case for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, urging electorates to rally round Governor Yahaya Bello.
Hon Halims made this known in Lokoja, while receiving a cross section of his supporters who were on a courtesy call visit to him in solidarity and goodwill after his successful orientation for the ninth National Assembly.
Hon Halims thanked his constituents for their unwavering supports and solidarity to him before during and after the election noting that it is pertinent to complement his victory by voting massively for the APC and specifically Governor Bello during the November 2nd Governorship election coming up in the state.
“I cannot quantify my gratitude to you for the unconditional love you have been showing me but if we must enjoy an all round developments in Ankpa federal constituency, we must rally round His Excellency and ensure he is return elected by November”. the elected federal lawmaker said.
Speaking further, Hon Halims highlighted some of the achievements of Governor Bello among which he named the construction of Ankpa township road, district autonomy granted to Awo, construction of Okpo-Ibana-Igah road, rural electrification projects in Omala, construction of new Primary school blocks and youth empowerment programmes.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has in a wide statement issued penultimate week set November 2nd for the conduct of Kogi and Bayelsa state governorship elections.
