The wife of Kogi State, Hajia Mrs Rashida Bello and three of her aides on Saturday morning  involved in a motor accident bearly a week after the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo escaped plan crash in Kabba, Kogi State.
An eye witnessed account disclosed to Kogi Flame that the incident occurred along Oshokoshoko near Kabba on Saturday morning.
It was gathered that the wife of the governor and some of her aides and supporters were on their way to Isanlu for the All Progressives Congress women rally.
The sources further added that the vehicle of the first lady and that of her aides, the Senior Special Assistant  on Women and Children to the Governor, Mrs Kenechi Ajayi, the Senior Special Assistant to the wife of the Governor on Women affairs, Mrs Ejura Edward and the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the wife of the Governor Mrs Adesoro Olamide were involved in the auto crash around Oshokoshoko village.
According to the source, wife of the governor and her aides were not hurt.
Meanwhile, the Chief Press Secretary to Kogi State Governor, Mallam Onogwu Muhammed in a press statement issued confirmed the accident.
The press statement read thus, “in appreciation to God almighty for His faithfulness to the New Direction family, the Kogi State government wishes to announce that three aides to the governor and his wife survived an accident this morning.
“The Senior Special Assistant  on Women and Children to the Governor, Mrs Kenechi Ajayi, the Senior Special Assistant to the wife of the Governor on Women affairs, Mrs Ejura Edward and the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the wife of the Governor Mrs Adesoro Olamide were involved in a minor auto accident this morning around Oshokoshoko village while on their way to Isanlu for the All Progressives Congress women rally but came out unhurt.
“The government appreciate God once again, that all persons are in perfect condition. The Governors wife’s door-door campaign train continues with their rally to the western senatorial district after a successful 2 days outing in Kogi East.
