Kogi State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello has assured the people of the state that his second term will witness massive Human Capital Development, if given the mandate for another four years.

The governor also promised that his administration will redoubled its effort in ensuring that the people of the state enjoy absolute security of life and property.

Bello who stated this on during a courtesy visit by traditional rulers and stakeholders from Kogi Central Senatorial District said the development would take the teeming unemployed youths from the streets.

Addressing the traditional rulers, women and youths who had come to express their solidarity, support and allegiance for his government,
governor Bello pledged that , if re-elected, he will be committed to good governance that will engage the youths in profitable ventures.

According to him “We have been able to remind ourselves where we are coming from, what the state was in terms of infrastructures, security and human capital development.

“We intend to build on what we have, clear the mess that is left, complete our infrastructures after commissioning the much that we are able to complete and by the grace of God, in our second term, we will focus on human capital development”

Bello said President Muhammadu Buhari would be in the state in August to commission his projects adding that ongoing projects would be commissioned in his second term.

Earlier, the Special Adviser to the governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Engr. Abubakar Ohere, said there were correspondences and agitations from the good people of Kogi Central for the governor to continue for another four years to enable him consolidate on his achievements.

Ohere said that the people from the 57 wards in the district including traditional rulers, opinion moulders and leaders, women and youth groups also urged the governor to go on and pledged their allegiance in the correspondences.

He pointed out that the governor had performed creditably well deploying the resources of the state prudently among other development initiatives , saying the governor provided water, constructed roads and ensured security of lives and properties in the state.

The traditional rulers, former political office holders, women and youth groups leaders spoke excellently of the governor’s administrative prowess and urged him to continue pledging their support and allegiance.
