Speaking further the chairman said “Today, love has so many definitions with varying degrees of interpretations but in all, true love is measured by sacrifice, the unconditionality attached makes the difference. Sacrifice that you give not because you expect anything in return from the beneficiary of your love.
“It’s in the light of the above truth that Chief Ogwu James Onoja, SAN (the Agenyi Attah Igala – Okoolo), Chairman of the Deacon Job & Mrs. Omada Onoja Foundation instituted the N20,000,000.00 Education Fund in honour and remembrance of his parent’s genuine love to support the needy in the area of education.
According to him, the take-off of this laudable humanitarian project was designed to start from the Chairman’s immediate community and later to others as they said “charity begins at home”.
He said to realize this, he inaugurated an independent committee of reputable elders and community leaders in December, 2018 to agree on the process of selection and present a list that will capture beneficiaries from every nook and cranny in Ofante, Ogugu of Olamaboro Local Government Area in Kogi State.
Speaking further, he said “the committee has already completed their assignment and the following students were successful and qualified to receive N50,000 (Fifty Thousand Naira) annually for the duration of their academic programmes, namely:
” The foundation would like to inform all the awardees that it expects nothing in return from the beneficiaries but sacrificial love when God in His mercies place them in positions to replicate the gesture to others in needs when the blessing of God comes their way.
“The Chairman of the Deacon Job & Mrs. Omada Onoja Foundation has always been engaged in community and humanitarian services within and outside his community. The most recent one is the rehabilitation of community roads which has brought succour to the villagers and motorists in the area.
“The foundation, as it disburses the fund to qualified beneficiaries in this phase, wish to congratulate them and call on others to engage in true love and not “a give and take kind of love” being practice by many today.
