Several shops and houses have been burnt in Ganaja village of Ajaokuta LGA when a petrol laden tanker fell in the night on Saturday
It was reliably gathered that the incident occured on Sunday evening when some people were trying to scoop the fuel.
The eye witness report said a man was alledged to have lit cigarette nearby the area, causing the fire outbreak.
As at time of report no human casualty was recorded, except for burnt shops and houses.
The incident led to the blockade of the road while frantic efforts were on by the fire fighters to put off the fire.
Efforts is on going to put off the inferno as men of the NSCDC along side other sister security agencies to control the crisis.
Efforts to get to the public relations officer if the Kogi state police command, SP William Aya proved abortive as several calls put across his mobile phone rang out.
