The Ebira Youth Congress (EYC), Lokoja chapter have elected new members of the Executive Council to run the affairs, calling on the state government to employed youths into the state civil service.
The newly elected members are Tahiru Asipita Abdulmalik as President, Hassan Ozovehe Ahmed as Vice President, Umar Adeiza Lukman Secretary, Yusuf A. Aliyu Assistant Secretary, Joseph Moses Ozovehe as Social Secretary 1 and Ahmed Hauwa oyiza as Social Security 2.
Others are Lawal Abdul Rahaman is elected as Treasure, Seriki Sunday Adinoyi as P.R.O. 1, Saliu Omeiza Tahir P.R.O II, Jimoh Abdulazeez as P.R O.3 while Waziri Tenimu is elected as Financial Secretary, Otinnah Abdulrasheed Provost and Salihu Abdulmustapha
Auditor.
The outgoing Acting President, Comrade Abdullahi Bello in his address appealed to state government for employment opportunities for graduated Youth.
He commended the governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo for given the youths opportunity to serve in his government.
He stressed today many graduates are unemployed as he called on the governor to kindly employ youths in the state civil service in the state.
He also appeal for a befitting Youth office where Congress can be held to brainstorm and harness ideas to foster development among our teaming youth and the society at Large.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected President Tahiru Asipita Abdulmalik AKA success, promised not to let down the association.
He noted that he will make sure the association wax stronger as he called for cooperation of other members so that they can move forward.
He commended the Kogi State Auditor General for local government of the state, Honorable Isiyaka Adabenege Yakubu for all his support toward the association.
