  1. Abdulahad Muhammed.
The Kogi West Senatorial District Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Bar. Kola Ojo says the party has uncovered plans by the All Progressive Congress to arrest its members, intimidate and to cause mayhem all in their attempt to rig the Presidential and National Assembly Elections.
The Kogi West PDP also wish to note that it has raised concerns on why the Senatorial Coalition center which ought to be Kabba the Senatorial district headquarters would be moved to Lokoja.
The party pointed out that having held series of meeting with the Kogi state Resident Electoral Commissioner in his office along side four of PDP legal officers, wondered why the REC still insists on changing the coalition center, an action that connotes compromise.
The Kogi West Senatorial District PDP equally says the matter to move the coalition center to Lokoja was raised at a stakeholders meeting with
The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Election North-Central, Godwin Chijioke Nwobodo, lamented that despite the RECs explanation on using Lokoja as coalition center, an explanation that led to the booing of the REC at the meeting, he still insists on confirming the information in public space that INEC wants to compromise the election.
Bar. Kola Ojo raised the alarm to use fake security personnel and Lokoja as coalition center in a statement, said information at the disposal of the Kogi West Senatorial PDP, reveals plot to dress young men in police and military uniforms, this he disclosed is with the intention to arrest PDP members in the district before the polls, said the party would seek legal means to seek that the right thing is done.
The Statement maintained that the APC led fake police and military men have a list of PDP members across the senatorial district instructed to fraudulently arrest, keep them out of circulation until after the election, said this fake police and military men in uniforms aside directed to intimidate the opposition during the election, have also been given the task to assist the APC in rigging the election by hijacking and helping to stuff ballot boxes.
The Kogi West Senatorial District PDP therefore used this medium to draw the attention of the International Community and Observers, the Security agencies with emphasis on the Acting Inspector General of Police to place special interest in the Kogi West Senatorial District election, by calling on the State Commissioner of Police to arrest, disarm all the state government militia and vigilante groups the APC planned to use in rigging the election.
We in the Kogi West Senatorial District PDP according to the statement wished to once again remind the Kogi State Government and the APC that there is a ban on use of state trained police, vigilante groups in the conduct of the 2019 election, described their planned involvement as is presently witnessed in the state as unconstitutional, and illegal.
We make bold to State that while as a party we’re worried by the desperate moves to cause violence, mayhem, arrest PDP members ahead the Saturday’s poll, a plan that would be resisted vehemently, it is important to remind the APC that having failed in meeting the yearning and aspiration of the Kogi people, and the outright rejection it is facing currently, no amount of evil machinations that is been hatched against the peoples will would stand.
The Kogi West Senatorial district PDP therefore wish to kindly place its members on notice of the wicked plans of the APC by asking that we all remain vigilante, remain courageous, turnout in our numbers and vote overwhelmingly for Alhaji Abubakar Atiku as President, Sen. Dino Melaye for Senate and to ensure that all our House of Representatives candidates win in all their Federal Constituencies in the Western Senatorial District.
