It has come to the notice of the Kabba/Bunu Executive members of All Progressive Congress (APC) of the purported adoption of Elder Benjamin Olowodola as the leader of Kabba District of our great party, APC.
We would not have bothered to respond to the purported adoption but to keep the State Executive members and the unsuspected reading public abreast of the true position of the party in Kabba/Bunu LGA.
First the party don’t operate on district basis rather we only have APC Kabba/Bunu as a local Government chapter, so the adoption is of no effect.
It is also good to note that the meeting held at the premises of Benjamin Olowodola on Friday 17th January, 2020 in Kabba was a mere family gathering attended by selected few to represent their families not APC as a party that have structure across the 15 wards in Kabba/Bunu LGA.
We want to make it clear that our party is governed by law and order hence there is no where it is stated in the party’s constitution to adopt a leader aside those that are elected as the party officials or political office holders as in the case of the President, Governor, LG, Executive Chairman, representatives at both State and National Assemblies.
However, we are lucky to have the number 3 citizen of the State as our representative who doubles as our leader and that of the Kogi West Senatorial District in the party.
We will appeal to Benjamin Olowodola and his group to play the game by it’s rules as the party will henceforth not tolerate any attempt to cause division within its ranks as the leadership of the party is becoming worrisome of the activities of his group since they returned to the party few months ago.
The party  does not lack leaders hence there is no room for such adoption that undermine the existing leadership structure of the party in the Local Government, aside the Hon Elisha Olorunmosule aka Medusa led Executive, the member representing Kabba/Bunu State Constituency, who doubles as the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Prince Matthew Kolawole being the highest political office holder remains our Leader in Kabba/Bunu in line with the party constitutions and practice in the country.
Signed:
APC Kabba/Bunu LG Excos
