The Vice Chancellor of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara together with other Principal Officers has warmly received the chartered professional body known as Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) on campus.

Balogun Omeiza David, Head, Public Relations Unit, CUSTECH,
The President of ANAN, Dr. James Ekerare Neminebor said it is a pleasure and a thing of honour for ANAN to be warmly received by the Principal Officers of CUSTECH, Osara.

He talked about ANAN as not only a College but a chartered body that has been able to come up with its own university to train students. He explained that ANAN is a body that trains students using real tutorials for 3 years before the students are finally inducted.

Dr. James also made it known that ANAN is in Kogi State for a programme that will last for 4 days and it is a programme spanning across the North Central, a programme he said will be declared opened by His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo the Executive Governor of Kogi State.

The President thanked the Vice Chancellor and his Principal Officers for all they have been doing for the students adding that when he came on board as President of ANAN, he introduced the ANAN Club in every instruction and CUSTECH, Osara will surely not be an exception. He also promised that ANAN will open an Accounting Laboratory at CUSTECH, Osara.

Giving his remarks, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahaman Asipita Salawu welcomed the team members from ANAN. He praised the body for having worthy representatives working with him assiduously at CUSTECH, Osara of which the Bursar, Mr. John Alaji is one of them.

The Vice Chancellor went further to eulogise the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello (CON) who founded CUSTECH, Osara as a political figure with great vision who also used the tax payers money to the benefit of the citizens.

Engr. Prof. Abdulrahaman Asipita Salawu added that “we are lucky in Kogi State to have government that is a continuum and also ready to consolidate on the achievements of the previous administration saying that is why the present Governor, His Excellency Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo is keeping us on our toes so as to achieve the rapid development expected of CUSTECH, Osara.

The Vice Chancellor made it known that though CUSTECH, Osara is a science and technology oriented institution however, the Faculty of Management Science has been introduced and the structure for this faculty is almost completed by Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund). He appreciated ANAN for the promise of giving CUSTECH, Osara an Accounting Laboratory which he said is an impetus to what CUSTECH, Osara already have in stock for the Accounting Department.
