The Coalition of Political parties in Kogi State under the umbrella of Inter Party Advisory Council beamed her searchlight on the managing director of National Inland Waterways Authority since his appointment, questions arose, our consciousness why Dr. George Moghalu.
In our digging deep into the antecedents of Moghalu, it did not take us too long to know that he is a consistent loyal party man since 1999 when Nigeria fully returned to democracy.
He has revolved through thick and thin of all the parties that formed All Progressive Congress (APC) which is now the ruling party. He has been rated as one of the most consistent, committed and loyal members of the All Progressive Congress (APC), no wonder he was voted twice as the National Auditor General of the party.
His Excellency, Mohammed Buhari did not make mistake by the appointment of Dr. George Moghalu as the managing director of Lokoja River Port. His exposure and commitment displayed at the party level and personal discipline in his own business and wide leadership acumen has distinguished Moghalu as a rare gem to pilot Lokoja River Port.
The Anambra born politician did not waste time in discharging his duties by commissioning Onitsha River Port that was moribund for over decades before his appointment “Charity they say begins at home” which shall commence operation first quarter of 2021.
The collation of political parties in Kogi State has no iota of doubt that George Moghalu will leave a foot print at Lokoja River Port that has moved at a snail speed since inception in 2007 to date, similar to Onitsha River Port that has been stimulated by your dexterity, commitment and doggedness to function.
We are proud to hear from your mandate to upgrade its facilities and safety standard with a view to making waterways transportation viable in Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
As a man that is properly mentioned, and has carefully distinguished himself, Lokoja River Port will further showcase your prowls in your further political endeavour and we will not mind to follow you up to Anambra State to sing your songs when you take the next step in your political journey because we know Anambra people has an uncommon politician that can take the State to the next level.
The Coalition is prepared to give you all the support needed to succeed in Kogi State where Lokoja River Port will be history after your tenure.
We therefore, pass a Vote of Confidence on you in recognition of the commissioning of Onitsha River Port and to spur you to do same at Lokoja River Port.
Congratulations.
Hon. Ibrahim Itodo
Secretary (CPPP).
