As Christians celebrate Christmas, Senator Representing Kogi West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sen. Sunday Karimi has stressed the need for peaceful coexistence among the people of Nigeria.

In a goodwill message signed by the Senator and issued to Newsmen, Sen. Karimi rejoiced with Nigerians, particularly the people of Kogi West on the joyous occasion of Christmas which commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ.

Sen. Karimi urged Nigerians to use the joyous occasion to pray for leaders at all levels and for the peace, progress and socio-economic development of the country.

The Senator stressed the need for peaceful coexistence between and among Nigerians, irrespective of ethnic or religious leanings.

He urged citizens to be guided by the lessons of the Christmas season, which he stressed is anchored on love, forgiveness and peaceful coexistence.

“Irrespective of our religious affiliations, we can draw immense strength and inspiration from the enduring legacies of the life of Jesus Christ who sacrificed his life for the redemption of our souls,” he said

He wished Christians God’s guidance and abundant blessings embedded in the festive season as they celebrate an important milestone of high spiritual import.

Sen. Karimi called for support for the administration of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and Government at all levels, said, “ We have no other country or State to call our home, other than Nigeria, reason why praying for and working with our leaders remains the panacea to overcoming our challenges”.

Sen. Karimi congratulated Christians for witnessing yet another Christmas, prayed for many more celebration in good health and prosperity.

The Senator assured that the challenge of insecurity facing the people of Kogi West and Nigeria in general will by the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, come to an end.

He promised to continue to use the instrumentality of Legislation strive for the development of Kogi West and Nigeria in general, wished Nigerian, particularly people of Kogi West a blissful 2025 Christmas celebration.
