The Rector of the Federal Polythecnic Idah, Dr Yahaya Usman has said that Christmas is the season of love when we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of God sent to save the whole world from their sins.

According to him, “It is a period to show love, share with the needy and less privileged in the society. Christmas enables us to reflect on the fact that God sent his only begotten son to redeem the world from their sins.

“Christmas is a period to come together and pray for a better society even as the celebration teaches us the beauty of selflessness and generosity. The act of giving, whether it is a thoughtful present, a warm embrace, or a simple act of kindness, embodies the true spirit of the season,” the speaker stressed.

“Christmas reminds us that joy is found not just in receiving but in the act of giving, fostering a sense of community and shared humanity, love and compassion.

“At the core of Christmas is the story of the Nativity which reminds us of the power of unconditional love and the importance of compassion. It encourages us to reach out to those in need, to empathize with the struggles of others, and to foster a spirit of understanding and goodwill.
