SPEAKER of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Prince Matthew Kolawole has described the nomination of Chief Edward David Onoja as the running mate to Governor Yahaya Bello in the November 16th, 2019 Governorship election in Kogi State as a good omen for the rapid development of the state.
The Speaker said the combination of Governor Yahaya Bello and Chief Edward David Onoja is a perfect ticket that will deliver an overwhelming victory for the party APC come November 16 and it will also afford them the opportunity to consolidate on the modest achievements of the new direction administration in the last three and a half years in the state.
He said the All Progressive Congress APC has taken the right decision to nominate a versatile and grassroots politician in person of Chief Edward Onoja to deputise a visional and result oriented Governor.
He used the opportunity to congratulate Governor Yahaya Bello, APC and Chief Edward Onoja on the great success recorded in the just concluded primary election of the party.
He pledged on behalf of the entire members of the 7th assembly of the Kogi State House of Assembly to cooperate and support the leadership of Alhaji Yahaya Bello in the state.
He reiterated their commitment to continue to work with other critical stakeholders to deliver overwhelming votes from their various constituencies to the APC
